Hello!

My name is Emily and I am so glad you're here.

Hi, I'm Emily.

Artist. Mother. Horse lover. Collector of beautiful moments.

I believe some of life's most meaningful moments are also the quietest.

A walk through a meadow. Sunshine filtering through the trees. Fresh flowers on the table. The comfort of home. The steady rhythm of a horse's footsteps.

These are the moments that inspire my work.

From my Virginia studio, I create expressive paintings that explore beauty, emotion, and the wonder hidden within everyday life. Through color, movement, and intuition, I hope each piece invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and notice what matters most.

My path to becoming a professional artist has been anything but traditional. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University before completing a Master's Degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Adler University in Chicago. For many years, I worked as a therapist, helping others navigate life's challenges while continuing to create art as a personal source of grounding, reflection, and joy.

Today, I have the privilege of combining those experiences in a way I never expected. As President of the Lynchburg Art Club and a full-time artist, I spend my days creating work that celebrates connection, emotion, and the beauty woven throughout everyday life.

When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and two daughters, riding horses, curled up with a good book, or enjoying the company of our two schnauzers.

For me, art has always been more than something beautiful to look at. It's a way of paying attention. A way of staying connected to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.

My hope is that when you experience my work, whether through an original painting, a print, or a commissioned piece, you find a piece of your own story reflected there and a gentle reminder to make room for wonder.
